Category: Tribute Shows

Information:

Travis LeDoyt has been called “the best young Elvis in the world,” and there are four good reaaon why; 1) he looks
like Elvis; 2) he sings like Elvis; 3) he moves like Elvis; 4) his personality and mannerisms both on and off stage are
strikingly similar to Elvis and 5) he sells out nearly every show. To those people who think they have seen it all when it
comes to Elvis tribute acts, this is the one that makes them do a double take. There is simply no way to describe Travis and
his performance except unbelievable.
Travis was born in Greenfield, Massachusetts, where it was evident at an early age that he had the elements necessary
to become an entertainer. His impish behavior and clever wit were responsible for providing a good deal of levity and
laughter, and his talent and love of music was evident from an early age. He was exposed to a wide variety of musical styles,
including Country, Swing, Rock & Roll, and Classical. His fascination with music led to formal piano lessons at age nine. It
wasn’t long before he was proficient at playing both piano and guitar, writing his own songs, and siginng. That early training
and his natural talent have culminated in Travis being one of the most convincing tribute acts to ever grace the stage.
Travis was not an immediate fan of Elvis Presley, but as he got to know more about the man and his music, he came
to understand why Elvid was dubbed “The King of Rock & Roll.” After listening to his father's recordings by Elvis, Travis
was partcularly impressed with Presley's early recordings and bought that collecttion of hits. He played the CD?
constantly and began to sing along. As Travis matured, he found his voice and appearance were remarkably similar to Elvis.
He also found he had a natural ability to move like Elvis, and after his first performance in tribute to Presley, he found the
public response to be overwhelming. Since that time Travis has been leaving audiences in awe everywhere he has performed
around the world.
Travis flawlessly captures the essence of Elvis in his prime, and restricts his shows to the hits and ambiance of 1954-
1962. Utilizing a three-piece band featuring guitar, bass, and drums, Travis takes his audience back to the fun and
excitement of a 1950s Elvis concert. For those who missed seeing an Elvis concert during those years, it is a chance to relive
the excitement and aura of an Elvis show and the fun and energy experienced by the audiences.
Travis has been selling out shows and receiving accolades from audiences from a round the world, he has done four
tours in the United Kingdom; performed in Hong Kong and Schenzen China; Santiago, Chile; and Toronto, Canada where he
received overwhelming responses. He was also the hit act at Busch Gardens in Tampa during the summer of 2004, where he
performed for nearly 100,000 people over a 6-week period. He has been selected as the opening act for such legends as Little
Richard, Johnny Rivers, B. B. King, Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, Bill Haley's Original Comets and others. For five years
he was the only tribute artist invited to perform at Elvis Presley Days, a Graceland sanctioned event in Tupelo, MS, the
birthplace of Presley. Since 2006, he has been a headline entertainer for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines performing on eight
to ten cruises each year. He was chosen by the New York Times as the person who most looked like young Elvis and was
featured in an article and two full-page color photos in the paper. In late 2004, he spent a week in Los Angeles where he
auditioned for the role of Elvis Presley in a CBS mini-series on the life of the King. Although he did not get the part he beat
out over 1,000 actors and Elvis look-a-likes to become one of the two finalists for the role.
Travis has been experiencing phenomenal success playing to capacity crowds and standing ovations at shows Lina s
Vegas and Reno, Nevada and 28 other states including Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia,
Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, New Hampshire
New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont and
Wisconsin. More than 90% of his shows are sellouts or standing-room-only.
Pete Bonner, Senior Vice President & General Manager, Harrah's Tunica Casino & Hotel sums it up best, "Our guests
were amazed at the likeness of Travis to young Elvis Presley. His great looks and wonderful voice, along with a vibrant live
show and Elvis-like stage presence, made Travis a favorite among our customers (and those of our competitors)!"
